The Art of Earl Norem and the Masters of the Universe
In order to celebrate the 2 new exclusive prints by Patricio Oliver tribute to He-Man, on sales exclusively on the Geek-Art Store, I wanted to speak about a genius illustrator, unfortunately not enough spoken of. Here comes the great Earl Norem, who was born in the US in 1924 and fought on the European front during WWII. In more than 50 years of work, he realized breathtaking illustrations for Marvel (Planet of the Apes, Silver Surfer, Hulk, Spider-Man, Conan, the FF ou Transformers), for collectible trading cards such as the Mars Attacks series, or for big magazines such as the Reader’s Digest.
He also worked a lot for Hasbro and Mattel, and has been one of the main illustrators on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe ! Earl Norem indeed signed dozens and dozens of illustrations for dedicated magazines, comics, novels and toy boxes. He really gave life to the world of Eternia, and here comes a few selections of his awesome work. Please enjoy !
